"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things you didn't do, than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bow lines, sail away from the safe harbor,
catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore, dream, discover." -(Mark Twain)

My life has undergone a lot of changes between June 1994 and the current date. At one of the lowest points, in May '96 I noticed this quote on a new colleague's office wall. It spurred me to go on and keep exploring.

Since that time I have had many adventures, some rewarding, and others not so rewarding. Late '99 was a bad time, but I grew a lot during early 2000 and came to the conclusion that once you have "sailed away from the safe harbor", explored, dreamed and discovered, you cannot return to that same harbour.

I spent from May '96 to May '99 living in Antwerp, Belgium. In June '99 I moved to Santa Cruz, and very soon wanted to move away. In January 2000 I went to Sydney for a couple of months, I was on the brink of moving there, but some things changed rapidly and I ended up staying in California.

I've found that things seem to work in cycles, they may be long cycles, or short cycles, but they do seem to work in cycles.

I don't know where I'll end up, or what adventures I will have next, but I certainly have dreams, have explored, and discovered.
